Interface was contracted by the Ugandan  Ministry of Local Government to prepare detailed engineering designs, bid documents and to provide tender assistance and construction supervision services for the reconstruction of Mbale and Tororo Central Markets in eastern Uganda.

With funding from the African Development Bank, Government of Uganda has undertaken to improve  market infrastructure and is providing capacity building to improve market management and agricultural trade. Construction of Mbale Central market begun in 2011 and the President of Uganda successfully commissioned the completed structure in April 2014.
